Introduction
There are weddings that feel beautiful, joyful, and well-planned… and then there are weddings that imprint themselves permanently in your memory — the kind you recall with a smile months later, remembering not only the music or the venue, but the light, the atmosphere, and the energy shared by everyone present. Pauline and Thomas’s wedding in Brittany belonged unmistakably to the latter category. Celebrated in July 2025 under a radiant summer sun, their day blended the raw beauty of the Breton coastline with the refinement of a château wedding, creating an atmosphere as emotional as it was elegant.
Their ceremony took place in the charming Église Notre-Dame de Landouar in Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer, a coastal village steeped in history, shaped by tides and fishermen, and known for its peaceful charm. Later, their reception unfolded at the Château du Val d’Arguenon in Saint-Cast-le-Guildo, one of northern Brittany’s most captivating estates. It was there, surrounded by the sea, centuries-old stone, and lush gardens, that I performed in a duo with guitarist Gaëtan Fagot.
Between heartfelt vows, sunlight filtering through church windows, moving musical moments, and even a fun surprise among the guests, the day unfolded with grace, emotion, and a touch of magic.
Pauline and Thomas’s Timeless Chateau Wedding in Brittany
Pauline and Thomas’s chateau wedding in Brittany blended heartfelt moments, elegant settings, and refined live music to create a timeless celebration from their seaside ceremony to their château reception.
A Coastal Ceremony at Église Notre-Dame de Landouar
The ceremony was held in the picturesque village of Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer, a small peninsula surrounded by turquoise water and marked by its calm, maritime soul. The Église Notre-Dame de Landouar, with its stone façade and humble Breton charm, set the perfect tone for a sincere and emotional start to the day.
As guests entered the church, the soft smell of the sea mingled with the scent of wooden pews and fresh floral arrangements. I performed with Gaëtan Fagot, creating a warm and intimate ambiance that welcomed guests into this spiritual moment. Our acoustic duo filled the space with melodies chosen carefully with the couple, meaningful songs that highlighted the emotional significance of their vows.
Musical highlights of the ceremony
A gentle acoustic processional that matched the peaceful atmosphere of the church
A soft instrumental theme inspired by “Blackbird” by The Beatles played gently during the signing of the registers, creating a heartfelt, intimate moment filled with emotion.
A joyful recessional on “Long Train Runnin’,” instantly lifting the energy and inviting smiles, applause, and a wave of celebration as Pauline and Thomas walked back up the aisle as husband and wife.
Under the soft July sunlight streaming through the stained glass, every note resonated warmly, elevating the emotion of the ceremony.
A Sunny July Day Filled With Breton Charm

July in northern Brittany can be unpredictable, but on Pauline and Thomas’s wedding day, the weather offered nothing but generosity. Warm sunlight, a gentle coastal breeze, and a glowing sky added an effortless beauty to the entire celebration. The light danced on the stone walls of the church, glowed over the château gardens, and turned the evening atmosphere into something almost cinematic.
This radiant setting enhanced each moment and served as a perfect backdrop for photographer Lucie Pouliquen, whose eye for delicate, natural light captured the day with remarkable sensitivity. Her images reflected not just the aesthetics of the wedding, but its emotion and authenticity.
The combination of natural light, historic architecture, and carefully curated details created an ambiance both timeless and undeniably French, exactly the feeling Pauline and Thomas had hoped for.
An Elegant Reception at Chateau du Val d’Arguenon

The reception took place at Chateau du Val d’Arguenon, a remarkable estate overlooking the coastline of Saint-Cast-le-Guildo. The château, with its elegant stone walls and surrounding woodland, offered a setting rich in history and sophistication.
Upon arriving at the venue, guests were greeted by sweeping views of the Breton landscape, a blend of deep green forests, the glimmering sea, and the estate’s classical architecture. The cocktail hour unfolded outdoors, where guests mingled beneath the sun while our duo performance set a warm and lively atmosphere.
Live music during the cocktail hour
Our acoustic set mixed French classics, modern pop, and soft folk, a combination that reflected Pauline and Thomas’s tastes. Guests enjoyed:
revisited pop hits perfect for a summer afternoon,
elegant French songs paying homage to the region,
softer, emotional melodies that invited people to slow down and savor the moment.
Live music acted as a subtle thread between moments, helping each transition feel natural and full of life.
A Duo Performance With Gaëtan Fagot

Performing alongside Gaëtan Fagot is always a pleasure. Our musical styles blend seamlessly, his expressive guitar work complements my vocals in a way that creates both depth and softness. The duo format is ideal for weddings: elegant, warm, and intimate without overwhelming conversation.
For Pauline and Thomas’s wedding, our collaboration helped shape the rhythm of the day, adding personality and emotion to key transitions. Whether during the ceremony or cocktail hour, the music contributed to the serene and joyful atmosphere the couple envisioned.

A Fun and Unexpected Anecdote: A Miss France Among the Guests

Every wedding has its surprises, and Pauline and Thomas’s day had a particularly unexpected and amusing one. Among their guests was Camille Cerf, former Miss France, a presence that brought an additional dash of glamour to the event.
What made it fun wasn’t the celebrity aspect alone, but the completely natural, friendly way she blended into the group. Her presence sparked smiles and a few playful whispers among guests who recognized her, but she enjoyed the day with simplicity and warmth, as just another friend celebrating the couple.
It was a delightful detail that added a touch of sparkle to an already radiant day.
A Day Filled With Meaning, Emotion, and Music
